Matt has been involved with the club since the formation of the Eagles in 2003 - designing the team logo and red jerseys that are still used today. After Captaining the B team ("Beagles") for a season, he became Eagles Assistant Coach in 2011 - helping the club to two Division 1 North titles(2013 & 2014) and a Nationals Final appearance (2014).

 

Since taking over the reins as Head Coach in the 2014/15 season, Matt has gone on to become the Club's all-time leader in wins and guided the Eagles to their first win in the Jonny Wookey Memorial Game (2018) and their first National Division 1 title (2019).
